Meet Eric Raff, LEED AP
XL Construction's President

After working in the construction business for a number of years, Eric founded XL Construction with Dave Beck in 1992. Together, with years of construction experience behind them, they wanted to create a company that excelled in every project they executed and delivered complete customer satisfaction. Within a short time, XL Construction was tackling some of the Bay Area's most challenging and interesting projects in the biopharmaceutical, healthcare, microelectronics, aerospace, and education markets.

As President, Eric manages XL Construction's overall business administration and finance, and takes an active role in XL Construction's preconstruction services. Equally important, he fosters strong client relationships and maintains personal involvement in projects, which contributes to their success. Client surveys frequently praise XL Construction for Eric's accessibility, strong leadership skills, and integrity.

Eric obtained a B.A. degree in Economics from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California.

 

Meet Dave Beck, LEED AP
XL Construction's Executive Vice President

After working in the construction business for many years, Dave founded XL Construction with Eric Raff in 1992. In founding the company, their foremost mission was to excel in each project they executed and deliver complete customer satisfaction. XL has never wavered from that mission. It supports each project with a team of experts, ensuring that every project is done the "XL Way": with consistency, high quality, and attention to meeting customer needs.

As Executive Vice President, Dave manages all construction field activities provided by XL Construction. Clients frequently point out that Dave personifies the company - he is easy to work with, is in constant pursuit of field excellence, and is known for his creative thinking.

Dave obtained a B.S. degree in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.

 

Meet Mario Wijtman, LEED AP
XL Construction's Executive Vice President

Mario, a long-time leader in ground-up construction and the biopharmaceutical construction sector, joined Eric Raff and Dave Beck as a partner in 1998. Mario brings a wealth of project management experience to XL and has been instrumental in XL Construction's strong growth.

As Executive Vice President, Mario is responsible for operations (i.e., project management services) and works closely with XL Construction's project executives throughout the preconstruction and construction phases. He is deeply committed to meeting the needs of XL Construction's clients, cultivating strong client relationships and promoting the success of projects through his close personal involvement. Client surveys frequently reference Mario's interest in understanding their business and "doing what it takes" attitude.

Mario obtained a B.S. degree in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and is a member of ISPE (International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers) and serves on the Cal Poly School of Architecture Industry Advisory Council.
