Exelixis Alameda Headquarters

The Exelixis Headquarters Relocation project included the relocation and renovation of three buildings in Alameda. The original buildings were demolished back to structure and re-purposed to Exelixis’ standards. The scope included all new mechanical systems and electrical distribution, new roofs, 50,000 s.f. of chemistry, biology, and lab support spaces with 110,000 s.f. of office space, and a 10,000 s.f. warehouse.
A majority of the project duration was built over an operating data center run by a legacy tenant with no un-planned power or utility outages. The schedule was accelerated after the data center tenant vacated to meet the aggressive move in targets.
