El Camino Hospital has selected XL to build its new Behavioral Health Services Building, a two-story, 52,000+ s.f. facility at their Mountain View campus. With a goal of LEED Gold certification, the new Behavioral Health Services Building at El Camino Hospital promises to be a true space for comfort and healing.

The facility will offer 36 beds and both inpatient and outpatient services. “We are excited to be able to provide expanded behavioral health services to our community through this state-of-the-art building. It will provide a therapeutic environment that promotes wellness and recovery, demonstrating dignity and respect for patients, and through LEED certification, it also demonstrates a commitment to sustainability,” says Michael Kay, Senior Director, Facilities Development and Real Estate at El Camino Hospital. “El Camino Hospital selected XL Construction because of the experience and capabilities their firm and key personnel bring to the project. We are looking forward to working with them as they provide not only general contracting services, but preconstruction, design-assist, and design-build services as well.”

“We are thrilled to be a part of the El Camino/WRNS Studio team, bringing this much-needed facility online to serve the Silicon Valley community and beyond,” says Alan Laurlund, XL’s healthcare market segment leader.

Working closely with architect WRNS Studio, XL will help move the project through design and into OSHPD this year, with a ground breaking planned for 2015. The facility is expected to be ready to receive patients in late 2017.
