As part of a five-location Kaiser Behavioral Health program, XL Construction conducted a tenant improvement which transformed a former technical institute into dual behavioral health clinics. The 26,000 s.f. space was split into two separate clinics for Adult & Children, and Addiction Medicine & Recovery Services. XL assisted the design team during pre-construction to ensure Kaiser’s needs were met with their experience from previous Behavioral Health projects and their collaborative target value delivery approach. XL demolished the existing interior floor plan, and built new provider offices, group rooms, exam and medical prep rooms, observation rooms, reception and waiting areas, TER room and support spaces. XL installed a new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) mechanical system and tunable light fixtures to provide a comfortable patient experience.
