Responsibilities:
 
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with internal and external reporting requirements
  • Review all general ledger account reconciliations prepared by staff
  • Oversee various audits including annual year end audit, insurance, tax, and other various 3rd party audits. Oversees, monitors and constantly works to improve accounting procedures, internal controls and data base management
  • Manages all financial requests associated with RFQ’s and various marketing requests
  • Maintain fixed asset ledgers and related transactions
  • Lead and or be highly involved in leadership meetings
  • Manage quarterly bank related requirements
  • Manage a group of 15 with 3-5 direct reports
  • Provide coaching and training to accounting personnel; develop a career path for 3-5 direct reports
  • Support and lead projects around integration of the XL Industries business unit into corporate
  • Support divisional and corporate initiatives and reporting
  • Other projects as assigned such as software implementations and financial analysis

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required
  • CPA, CMA and/or CCIFP is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of accounting experience required. Must have worked with the Work in Process
    • (WIP)and have a thorough understanding of inner workings of the balance sheet
  • Supervisory experience of a group of minimum 5-10 is required

Compensation & Benefits:
In accordance with California’s pay transparency requirements, the base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $170,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may also include performance-based bonuses.

Project Accountant

As a Project Accountant, you will support assigned project teams on all accounting‑related matters, serving as the primary point of contact between Accounting and Operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and complete financial support for projects and for helping bridge day‑to‑day coordination between field teams and the accounting function.  Clear, concise, and proactive communication with project teams is essential. Success in this role requires taking full ownership of all accounting aspects of your assigned projects, from project setup through closeout, including issue resolution and follow‑through.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly project billings < $100 mm, as required.
  • Review all billings prepared by Project Administrator.
  • Schedule and lead billing kick-off meetings for new projects.
  • Schedule regular monthly meetings with your team specifically related to anything accounting.
  • Review AP invoices and update subcontractor compliances, if applicable.
  • Review accounts receivable and follow-up with clients as needed to ensure timely payments and provide anticipated funding dates.
  • Review costs posted to jobs monthly to ensure all costs related to the month in review are captured and accurate. Post all cost transfers.
  • Provide financial support and analysis to the project teams including, but not limited to, budget vs. actual cost comparisons, researching discrepancies, and account reconciliation.
  • Upload control estimates and review budgets for accuracy.
  • Ensure new projects are set up accurately in Vista as well as maintain any new updates, if applicable.
  • Support operations with Vista functionality, including but not limited to: uninterfacing items, reconciling PCO’s, troubleshooting user errors, etc.
  • Review monthly WIP to determine if any jobs require accounting adjustments. Report back to Controller with any changes within the time requirement.
  • Review and complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end close duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for the financial closeout of projects outlined in the project closeout checklist.
  • Assist in in compiling support for internal and external audits.
  • Function as a liaison between client and XL specifically related to the accounting side.
  • Provide on-going education to your project teams as required.
  • Safeguard the company assets and ensure compliance with corporate financial and risk processes.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Project Executive – K–12 Business Development is a seller-doer leader responsible for establishing TimberQuest’s presence in the Southern California K–12 / DSA market by originating work, shaping delivery strategy, and ensuring successful execution of early projects.
This role is designed for a Project Executive-level builder who can operate across the full lifecycle, from relationship development and pursuit strategy through preconstruction and into early execution. The position requires an individual who can win work through credibility, guide clients through risk, and stand behind delivery outcomes.
The Project Executive will act as a trusted advisor to school districts, program managers, architects, and construction partners, translating TimberQuest’s prefabricated/Flat Packed/Modular approach into solutions that align with DSA requirements, district expectations, and real-world project constraints.

What You Will Do:

      Sr Project Engineer

      Position Summary:
      Senior Project Engineers work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to help manage and execute the timely and safe completion of the construction project. They take responsibility for maintaining, reviewing, and distributing documentation related to drawings, specifications, estimates, scopes of work and the change process. A Sr. PE may be part of a team on a large project or may manage a small project with limited PM oversight. A strong familiarity with XL’s systems, processes and technology enable Sr. Project Engineers to be a valuable resource to the team and project. They must be flexible, detail-oriented, team players with the ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate proactively, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines.

       
      Responsibilities:
      • Contribute as part of a team in formal presentations for new projects.
      • Lead or assist with instructions to bidders and assembling bid packages; perform takeoff's and estimate aspects of new projects. Perform outreach to trade partners to promote project opportunities and generate interest - increasing bid coverage.
      • Assist in assembly of the Control Estimate and project setup in Vista.
      • Execute aspects of the subcontractor buyout and selection process.

      • Proactively manage the punch-list and close-out process; including warranty, O&M, LEED and as-built documentation.
