Position Summary:
XL Industries, the parent company of XL Construction, Bradley Concrete, Arrow Rental and Supply, Elevated Construction Services, and TimberQuest is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to support its multi‑entity construction business in Milpitas, CA. This role is responsible for overseeing subcontractor and vendor payments, lien and compliance requirements, and the day‑to‑day management of a small AP team. The position plays a key role in maintaining strong controls, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and supporting project teams and accounting leadership across active construction projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Oversight
    • Manage and mentor a team of AP specialists, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, subcontractor payments, and compliance.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-accountability team culture aligned with company values.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee weekly subcontractor and vendor payment runs and ensure alignment with contract terms.
    • Review and resolve discrepancies in subcontractor statements and manage supplier communications.
    • Monitor and record lien waivers, preliminary notices, and supplier releases.

    • Ensure compliance with construction lien laws and tax regulations.
    • Review and manage monthly sales tax accruals and reporting.
    • Lead reconciliation of General Ledger accounts associated with payables and company credit cards (e.g., Concur).
  • Technology & Reporting
    • Maintain and improve AP-related systems including Viewpoint and Concur.
    • Generate, review, and present AP aging reports and other financial dashboards to senior leadership.
    • Manage and update the online payment schedule and drive process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with Project Managers, Procurement, and Risk on subcontractor compliance and payment issues.
    • Support month-end and year-end close activities in coordination with the accounting team.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of progressive AP experience, with 3+ years in management or supervisory role.
  • Construction industry experience is required, strong knowledge of lien laws and subcontractor compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Viewpoint and expense platforms like Concur highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

In accordance with California law, XL Construction is committed to providing a reasonable and good faith salary range for this position. The base salary range for the Accounts Payable Manager role is $100,960 to $126,200 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions. This role may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus and company benefits.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Project Executive – K–12 Business Development is a seller-doer leader responsible for establishing TimberQuest’s presence in the Southern California K–12 / DSA market by originating work, shaping delivery strategy, and ensuring successful execution of early projects.
This role is designed for a Project Executive-level builder who can operate across the full lifecycle, from relationship development and pursuit strategy through preconstruction and into early execution. The position requires an individual who can win work through credibility, guide clients through risk, and stand behind delivery outcomes.
The Project Executive will act as a trusted advisor to school districts, program managers, architects, and construction partners, translating TimberQuest’s prefabricated/Flat Packed/Modular approach into solutions that align with DSA requirements, district expectations, and real-world project constraints.
Success in this role is defined by:

Assistant Superintendent, Healthcare

An Assistant Superintendent works with a large amount of autonomy to help manage all 
Aspects of field operations on a project. They may work with a Superintendent on a larger project or may work independently on a smaller project and will demonstrate their knowledge of how to build and manage all facets of work in the field. 
An Assistant Superintendent will acquire and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the plans, specifications, estimates, schedules, critical path elements and sequencing/phasing of the project.  Responsibilities for this position include the following:
  • Develop, review and execute work plans for a variety of construction activities.
  • Lead subcontractor pre-installation meetings, construction of mock-ups and
    subcontractor site orientation activities.
  • Ensure project site and company assets are properly used, stored and secured.

Project Engineers assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with the planning and daily execution of the construction project.       • Strong data, reporting, presentation, and communication skills.
      • Experience using applicant tracking systems, recruiting tools, spreadsheets, and reporting dashboards.
      Preferred Qualifications
      • Experience supporting early-career hiring in construction, engineering, architecture, real estate, manufacturing, skilled trades, or a project-based environment.
      • Experience developing school partnership strategies across universities, technical schools, community colleges, or high school pathway programs.
      • Experience building diversity-focused early-career recruiting strategies.
      • Experience partnering with business leaders to align early-career hiring with workforce planning.
      Compensation
      The anticipated compensation range for this role is $122,400 - $153,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.
