XL Construction named ENR California’s 2020 Contractor of the Year!
XL is deeply honored to have been named the 2020 Contractor of the Year by ENR California! Winners of this prestigious award are selected based on the company’s achievements in the prior year, including business growth, major projects, and unique innovations.
This honor recognizes what an extraordinary year 2019 was for XL. We made some organizational changes, expanded the team, and experienced impressive growth. We also achieved some major project milestones with the completion of several projects that truly embody our mission to build to improve lives, including the Scrivner Center for Mental Health & Addiction Services at El Camino Hospital, Environmental Sciences Building for Skyline College, and the new R&D headquarters for Verb Surgical.
Many of these projects were uniquely complex, yet we continued to maintain our impressive 12-year safety record, for which we received the prestigious President’s Award for Safety from the Construction Employers’ Association. This was one of nine major honors received during the past year, including a national ENR Best of the Best Projects award for the Design Tech High School at Oracle and the ranking as the #1 Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by the Silicon Valley Business Journal / San Francisco Business Times.
