XL Construction is at work on the new, 2-story 72,000 s.f. Student Development Center, expected to open in mid-2024. Working with Gensler as a progressive design-build team, the building will be a campus focal point, establishing a prominent student resource hub on CCSF’s Ocean Campus. Over 30 student groups, previously distanced on campus, will be consolidated using an integrated service model, sharing common areas while having their own office space. Guided by CCSF’s shared governance process, planning incorporates input from the college’s varied stakeholders and is utilizing lean methodology. The facility is targeted to be all-electric, LEED Silver, and net zero ready.

Just wanted to mention we are very impressed with the work Erin is doing. Wanted to send a note which might be appropriate for her personnel file or however you handle those types of things. Organized, Punctual, Excellent Listener/Communicator. And truly caring about the success and excellence of this project. One of the better “contractor-side” managers with whom I personally have had the pleasure to work.
