Aviation innovator ICON selected XL Construction to transform a 137,000 s.f. existing warehouse into a final assembly facility for the ICON A5 light aircraft. The production and office facility includes offices and operations for building, assembling, and testing. Capabilities within the facility cover composite bonding of plane parts, manufacturing and assembly line, and painting and sanding booths. ICON’s facility is strategically located adjacent to the Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville, and a taxi runway connects ICON’s property directly to the airport.
