Peralta CCD Berkeley City College West
XL is leading the demolition of an existing three story structure and its replacement with a new six-story 60,000 s.f. academic and administration building.
The 2118 Milvia Street project, a new central hub for classroom learning and student services, represents a transformational moment for Berkeley City College, a time to reimagine the academic experience for faculty, students, and the College. The project involves the demolition of an existing three-story structure, and its replacement with a new six-story, 60,000 s.f. academic and administration building. The new building will expand the College’s classroom and conference space, provide offices for faculty and administrators, and include an outdoor roof deck providing fresh air and views to this downtown campus. Additional programming includes a Health Center, Student Services and Learning Communities, Student Lounge, and Learning Resource Center. This project is targeting LEED Silver certification.
