The Student Services Complex is a two-building complex on the North West part of the EVC campus. Totaling approximately 74,000 square feet of finished space and 20,000 square feet exterior finish, this building is estimated to have construction costs of approximately $77 million dollars exclusive of FF&E. The new student services complex buildings will consolidate various student services functions currently scattered across campus into one three-story building. They will house student services, campus organizations, admissions and records. The project will be delivered utilizing a Lease-Leaseback delivery method with DLR Group as the architect of record.

The new complex consolidates 16 student services and 6 administrative departments into a centralized, accessible hub—strengthening community connections and streamlining student support.

Inclusive engagement through shared governance ensured stakeholder input shaped the design. The result included gender-inclusive restrooms, lactation rooms, intuitive wayfinding, and welcoming, accessible spaces for all.

Balancing the needs and identities of numerous departments within a cohesive design.

Solution

Visioning sessions, charrettes, and iterative feedback processes helped align stakeholders, resulting in intuitive layouts and distinct-yet-cohesive departmental identities.

Meeting high sustainability standards within the project’s constraints.

Solution

The design features efficient HVAC systems, a photovoltaic system, LEED Silver goals, daylight optimization, and the use of low-impact materials to enhance environmental performance.
