XL Construction completed a complex transformation of 90,000 s.f. within this occupied, high-rise urban hospital. XL’s scope included the abatement, demolition and remodel of four patient care floors and new construction of neuro/spine, hematology and oncology nursing unit areas. XL remodeled 124 remodeled patient care rooms, new conference areas, lounges and locker rooms, nurse stations, four elevator lobbies, family and waiting rooms, sleep rooms, and offices. XL also built a telemetry suite on an adjacent floor. The project scope included upgrades to vital infrastructure, as well as numerous structural upgrades to bring the facility up to code with OSHPD and building standards. XL’s scheduling plan ensured the facility could remain operational throughout construction, and rigorous infection control measures were integrated into the safety plan.
